OverviewThis qualification is essential for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer.* It is ideal for anyone who needs to understand the basics of training practice or wants to refine their training techniques. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery which takes into account recent advances in accelerated learning and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Successful candidates will be able to structure, design and deliver interesting and stimulating training. * Certain other training qualifications are also recognised, and conditions regarding technical knowledge and experience also apply.

Qualification information
The CIEH Professional Trainer course provides an assessment and certification opportunity for candidates who undertake a short programme, typically 3 days, covering the basic skills involved in the delivery of training courses to groups. The primary aim of the Professional Trainer course is to equip potential trainers with the core skills to design and deliver effective group training events. The qualification provides a basis of understanding, knowledge and skills. It is through practice and experience and continuing development that competence is maintained and enhanced. After participating in the skills sessions each candidate will be required to plan and deliver 2 microteaching sessions which are observed and assessed. To complete the assessment the candidate must also produce a self evaluation report. Candidates who are successful in their assessments will achieve a pass or credit award. Practice sessions will be video-taped for delegates to improve their presentation skills.
